Adult foster care homes serve adults aged 18 and over. These adults require varying levels of supervision, assistance, protection, or personal care, as well as room and board. Living in adult foster care enables individuals to obtain or maintain an optimum degree of independence and dignity in a supervised setting. 

Beltrami County Health and Human Services licenses, monitors, and supports adult foster care families. 

Adult Foster Care homes are licensed in accordance with Minnesota laws, specifically Chapter 9555.5050 and the Human Services Licensing Act.
