Who we are

We are a team comprised of people who have been through struggles ourselves with eminent danger of being homeless, recovering from an addiction or being a family member of a veteran.

Programs within the HRP

F.H.P.A.P.

Family Homeless Prevention and Assistance Program

This program assists single families with children who are homeless or at emanant danger of being homeless. It provides:

L.T.H.S.S.F.

Long-Term Homeless Supportive Services Fund

This program provides extreme case management, and helps the client come up with a service plan that consists of goals and ways to obtain and keep housing. Eligibility includes persons including individuals, unaccompanied youth and families with children who lack a permanent place to live continuously for a year or more and have at least four episodes of homelessness in the past three years.

E.S.P.

Emergency Service Program

This is a program designed to assist families and single adults by providing emergency shelter. All avenues of shelters must be exhausted to be eligible.

H.Y.A.

Homeless Youth Act

This is a program that assists youth ages 16-24 that are a risk, transitioning from out of home placements, currently or previously homeless, experiencing abuse and neglect, conflicts with parents due to alcohol and or drug dependency, parents that have mental health concerns or disabilities and youth runaways.

V.A.S.H.

Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing

VASH will provide rental assistance and supportive services to Native American Veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness living within but no further than 20 miles from the LLBO Reservation Boarder.

S.O.R.

State Opioid Response

SOR offers case management and other housing related services to individuals and families who are homeless or doubled up, and have a household member who has used opiates in the past or present.

H.T.F.

Housing Trust Fund

Provides vouchers with rental assistance. Must be long term homeless.

MN DOR

Local Homeless Prevention Aid

MN DOR for LLBO members who are ineligible for other programs. Eligibility includes emergency services on case by case basis.

This Program is funded by grants which are solely based on total income for each household/individual. All that are 18 + must fill out an individual ROI. Not all applicants are eligible.

For a faster process bring:

  • income for the past 30 days for everyone in the household 18+
  • Social Security #'s for all
  • Copies of eviction notices, disconnection verification, denial letters and anything else the case manager requires.

Service area is LLBO and within  20 mile radius of the Reservation boundaries.

Upon approval and funding availability some supportive services these program may include: Housing Search, Deposit and 1st months rent, Utility Deposits/Disconnects, ID's/Birth Certificate, Food and hygiene supplies.
