o   Bagley Location: Located at the intersection of 7th St. NE and Getchell Ave. NE next to the Clearwater County Highway Department (South side of hockey building)

o   Clearbrook Location: Located at the intersection of County Highways 4 and 5 next to the Highway Department's Clearbrook shop. (South of the Clearbrook School)

·         County Ag: Weed and Seed Program

o   The Environmental Services Office houses the County Ag Inspector. This position is responsible for the implementation of the Minnesota State Weed Law (MN Statute Chapter 18 Sections 18.75 -18.88) and the Minnesota State Seed Law (MN Statute Chapter 21 Sections 21.80 - 21.92) .

o   Under these statutes the County Ag Inspector is capable of requiring landowners to control noxious weed infestations on their private property and also has the duty of conducting inspections of seed retailers by sampling the products they sell. These samples are then sent in and analyzed by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture.

  •    Wetland Administration in Clearwater County

o   The Office of Environmental Services is responsible for the implementation of the Minnesota Wetland Conservation Act locally (MN Rule 8420 ). Here you will find information regarding wetland administration and enforcement in Clearwater County.

  •   Clearwater County Shoreland Management

o   Policy
The uncontrolled use of shorelands of Clearwater County, Minnesota affects the public health, safety and general welfare not only by contributing to pollution of public waters, but also by impairing the local tax base. It is, therefore, in the best interest of the public health, safety and welfare to provide for the wise subdivision, use and development of shorelands of public waters.

o   Managed Areas
Land located within the following distances from public waters: 1,000 feet from the ordinary high water level of a lake, pond or flowage; and 300 feet from a river or stream, or the landward extent of a floodplain designated by ordinance on a river or stream, whichever is greater.
