Minneapolis Adult Education offers free, high-quality courses where you can learn and improve English proficiency, build academic skills, and prepare for college.

Course Types

Adult Diploma

Free classes to help you achieve your diploma.

Program Requirements:
  •  Must be at least 18 years of age to enroll.
General Educational Development (GED)

Free GED preparation classes.

Program Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to enroll.

English Language Learning (ELL)

Free beginning, intermediate and advanced English Language Learning (ELL) classes.

Program Requirements:
  •  Must be at least 18 years of age to enroll.
Citizenship

Free Citizenship classes prepare legal permanent residents for the civics and English portion of the United States Immigration and Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) citizenship exam. 

Program Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to enroll.
  • Legal permanent resident eligible to naturalize.
Digital Literacy

 Free classes to help you develop a basic understanding of computers and technology to help you succeed in the workforce.

Program Requirements:
  •  Must be at least 18 years of age to enroll.
Career Pathways
