Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health

Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health

At Lutheran Social Service of MN, our infant and early childhood mental health services are designed to foster healthy emotional, social, and psychological development in children from birth through five years. We will work with you as you navigate this period of your child’s life and provide you with the tools and resources you need to foster healthy development.

Infant & Early Childhood Services

LSS staff throughout the state are specifically trained to provide the following infant and early childhood mental health services:

In addition to working with your child, our team is also here to support you. From education and training opportunities to parent/child treatments, we are here to give you the support you need and answer the questions you have about your child’s development and behavior.

When to Seek Assistance

At a young age, it is entirely normal for your child to be active, fussy, or throw a few tantrums. However, if your child’s challenging behavior seems excessive or there are concerns about possible delays in your child’s development, an assessment can offer peace of mind. If treatment is recommended, our staff will work with you to create an individualized treatment plan that supports your child’s developmental needs.
