DBSA Peer Support Specialist CourseDBSA offers a 5-week Peer Support Specialist Course that gives students the opportunity to reflect on their own mental health journey and develop specific skills that will help them work effectively with peers. Their course blends independent study with real-time distance learning, and also includes a 5-day Building the Skills workshop where students will engage in live role play and discussion. |
Eating Disorders Community Education & TrainingsThe Alliance offers an extensive array of outreach and educational programs, including presentations providing continuing education units for licensed professionals across the country. NAMI Family-to-Family ProgramNAMI Family-to-Family is a free, 8-session educational program for family, significant others and friends of people with mental health conditions. It is a designated evidenced-based program. This means that research shows that the program significantly improves the coping and problem-solving abilities of the people closest to a person with a mental health condition. It not only provides information and strategies for taking care of the person you love, but you’ll also find out that you’re not alone. |

National Certified Peer Specialist CertificationThe National Certified Peer Specialist (NCPS) certification is a voluntary, examination-based certification that allows peers to demonstrate a high level of experience and competencies in peer support. The NCPS does not replace state certifications but is an add-on to required state certifications. Individuals who earn the NCPS go above and beyond state certification to show their leadership and commitment to the growth and advancement of the field. |
Practice Transformation AcademyThe Practice Transformation Academy works with organizations to achieve the necessary competencies for operating in a value-based payment arrangement. This unique program combines in-person, one-on-on coaching with a web-based curriculum to educate providers in population health, how to effectively stratify their clients by risk and how to respond to client risk levels effectively by developing patient-centered care pathways. RAINN created and operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline (800.656.HOPE, online.rainn.org y rainn.org/es) in partnership with more than 1,000 local sexual assault service providers across the country and operates the DoD Safe Helpline for the Department of Defense. RAINN also carries out programs to prevent sexual violence, help survivors, and ensure that perpetrators are brought to justice. |

The Trevor Project Crisis Counselor TrainingDigital Crisis Counselors are trained to answer chats or texts from LGBTQ young people who reach out on our free, confidential and secure 24/7 service when they are struggling with issues such as coming out, LGBTQ identity, depression, and suicide. Throughout training, volunteers will cover topics including counseling skills, LGBTQ identity, the structure of a conversation on our crisis services, and relevant policies, procedures, and protocols to prepare them to speak with young people in crisis. |
Trans Lifeline Volunteer Hotline OperatorProvide crisis support for your community that’s divested from cops—in English or Spanish. All our operators identify as trans/nonbinary/gender non-conforming, as we firmly believe we are the experts on our lived experiences. You’ll receive 36 hours of online training and join a community of trans peers across the country on our nationally accredited hotline. |

Whole Health Action Management (WHAM)Developed by peers, for peers, Whole Health Action Management (WHAM) empowers peer providers to support the whole health of clients in organizations and promote physical and mental health. Peers learn to conduct one-on-one and group peer support to create and sustain healthy behaviors and identify strengths and supports in 10 science-based whole health and resiliency factors. The program helps counter the high incidence of chronic physical health conditions – such as diabetes, heart disease and obesity – among people living with behavioral health conditions. |
