Helping Children, Families, and Individuals Heal From Trauma in Minnesota
Harmony Mental Health is a community-based mental health clinic focused on children, adolescents, and families. We are a trauma-focused group dedicated to providing individual, couples, family, and parenting support, utilizing a respectful, straight-forward, and culturally-sensitive approach.
We are determined to provide evidence-based services and exceptional communication. We seek to maintain the highest regard for dignity, respect, and privacy. We value developing supportive, professional relationships with our clients, the schools they attend, the doctors that refer to us, and our clients’ families.
We strive to provide highly responsive customer service to referring providers, individuals, and organizations concerned with our clients’ care. We wish to provide an environment for staff, clients, and other professionals that is enjoyable to work in, stylistic, and free of discrimination, harassment, and social injustice.
Harmony Mental Health Anti-Racism Statement
The Harmony Mental Health team stands in solidarity with individuals and communities impacted by hate speech and violence. We condemn racist, anti-immigrant, and anti-trans political rhetoric. We denounce discriminatory policies and practices.
It is our stance that change is necessary to further justice for oppressed communities, and that the pace of change must be accelerated. Words are not enough; action is required at all levels—individual, institutional, and systemic. These actions must be grounded in an acknowledgment of the privilege conferred upon each of us by our proximity to power. White people, in particular, must recognize the role that White privilege plays in shaping opportunities and outcomes. White supremacy is a throughline in the history of the United States. Our nation was built on land secured through the genocide of indigenous peoples; its economy bloomed on the backs of enslaved persons of African descent. The tragedies of recent years—the murders of Black Americans by police officers; the scapegoating of Asian Americans during Covid-19; legislation withholding essential health care from trans youth—demonstrate the tenacity of White supremacist ideas and systems.
At Harmony Mental Health, we understand that individual healing is not enough. We must also repair or rebuild the systems and structures responsible for ongoing harm. We cannot be satisfied with the status quo. We will continue to grow in our own awareness and advocacy, so that we can join in the creation of a more just and equitable society.
Our Mission
Our mission is to help individuals and families gain freedom from self-limiting ideas, traumatic emotional pain, or self-destructive behaviors through the delivery of evidence-based, responsible, respectful, and compassionate psychological services.
Our Story
Harmony Mental Health, formerly known as Parker Collins Family Mental Health, is a community mental health clinic specializing in providing culturally appropriate, trauma-informed care. Our clinic began in 2012 in Vadnais Heights, and in 2019, we expanded to include a location in Maple Grove. Over the years, we have developed a strong reputation for our expertise in treating Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), complex trauma and PTSD, child and family systemic care, and conducting empowerment-focused trauma-informed psychological evaluations.
Our clinicians are trained in a variety of evidence-based and innovative therapeutic modalities, including EMDR, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Anchored Relational Therapy Model (formerly known as the AIR Network), Clinical Hypnosis, DBT, trauma-informed psychological evaluations, and Brainspotting. The culture of our clinic is rooted in creating an environment that honors the dignity of both our staff and the clients we serve.
Harmony Mental Health is committed to standing against systemic racism both within our organization and in our communities. We stand in solidarity with those affected by hate, discrimination, and violence perpetrated by White supremacists and institutional systems, including local law enforcement. We firmly believe that change is essential for oppressed communities to achieve justice. Our values align with serving our communities with care, skill, and respect. Furthermore, we prioritize supporting our mental health providers, ensuring safety and inclusivity for BIPOC and LGBTQIA clinicians and staff. While we are dedicated to providing respectful and compassionate care, we also expect mutual respect from our clients toward our providers and staff.
In 2024, our clinic underwent a significant transformation, including a name change from Parker Collins Family Mental Health to Harmony Mental Health, reflecting new ownership. Soo Moon, LMFT, is the current owner, continuing to lead the clinic with vision and dedication. Phyllis Solon, PsyD, LP, one of the founders of the Anchored Relational Therapy Model, remains a mentor and supervisor within our team.
Our talented clinicians include:
Our administrative team—Amanda J. (HR), Betsy (claims and billing specialist), Fremont (tech specialist), and Kayli (intake scheduler)—are the backbone of our clinic, ensuring smooth operations so our clinicians can focus on client care. Click here to learn more about our team.
The name Harmony carries deep meaning, representing healing and connection within our community. For Soo, Harmony is a phonetic nod to 할머니 (“halmeoni”), which means Grandmother in Korean. This name reflects our commitment to honoring our roots, acknowledging the sacrifices of our ancestors, healing from intergenerational trauma, and cherishing the stories that shape us.
Our mission is to continue supporting those in need with humility, care, and compassion.
