Data that is classified as private data on other individuals, confidential data and/or protected nonpublic data will not be included in the records you receive or will be redacted pursuant to Minnesota Statutes ยง13 - Government Data Practices. This includes the identity of reporters of maltreatment, as well as identities of those who have not consented to having their information released to you.
If you would like to schedule a time to simply view your file, you can make an appointment to do so and there will be no charge. Please allow 10 days for document retrieval and preparation.
COURT RECORDS: If you wish to have copies of your CHIPS or Adoption court records; they are not sent from our office. Go to the website mncourts.gov. Click on "Confidential Information." and then go to "Get Forms." You will see a link to a packet to request access to a confidential or sealed record. You will complete forms from the packet that must then be filed with the court. There are complete instructions in the packet.
