Naloxone Training

Anyone can learn how to spot an overdose, administer naloxone, and save lives. The training resources listed below are just a sample of what is available online and statewide. This list does not reflect endorsement of any specific training materials.

In Minnesota, the Steve Rummler HOPE Network is one of many local organizations that provide hands-on opioid response training. Visit their Naloxone and Training webpage for training resources specific to individuals and organizations. 

Additionally, visit the MDH Syringe Service Providers Calendar for a list of statewide organizations that can provide naloxone and training near you. 

Schools

The MDH Naloxone School Toolkit includes information and recommendations for school policy and emergency procedure development, role of medical provider for standing orders/protocols and prescription, resources for obtaining naloxone medication, resources for education and training and recovery/referral resources to meet the needs of those are at risk or who have experienced an overdose.
