Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an appointment?

No appointment is necessary. If you prefer to schedule an appointment we can assist you with that, but walk-ins are always welcome.

When can I get an appointment?

You can come in at any time, no appointment is needed. If you want to make an appointment then contact us and we can schedule your appointment for the time that works best for you.

How much will my appointment cost?

All of our services are provided at no cost to you. That means our only focus is providing you with the care and information you need to make the best decisions for your health.

How long does an appointment usually last?

Appointments can vary depending on your need and any testing that you require.

Can I bring someone with me?

Absolutely! If there is someone you trust that wants to come with you then they are welcome to join you at your appointment.

Is my appointment confidential?

Yes! All of our services are completely confidential. You can have the peace of mind knowing that the information and results you receive at your appointment will be respected with the highest confidentiality except when reporting is mandated by state law.

Am I pregnant?

Symptoms of pregnancy include:

  • A missed period
  • Tenderness in your breasts
  • Having to urinate more often
  • Feeling sick to your stomach
  • Feeling tired

Not every woman experiences the same symptoms. To know for sure, visit Pregnancy Options, and receive no cost, completely confidential pregnancy testing. By having one of our registered nurses perform the test, you’ll know you’re getting the correct result. Our tests are extremely sensitive and should be administered one week past your missed period.

How far along am I?

To know how far along your pregnancy is, you need to have a limited obstetrical ultrasound. At Pregnancy Options, we offer free limited obstetrical ultrasounds. A limited obstetrical ultrasound gives you real-time information. You’ll learn how far along you are, if your pregnancy is viable (is there a heartbeat), and where your pregnancy is located. All of these facts are important for determining the next steps.

Could I have an STD?

If you are sexually active, you should be tested for an STD (sexually transmitted disease). Often, you won’t have any symptoms with STDs in the beginning, but if left untreated, issues will occur later. Some STDs are incurable and can only be managed with medication. Others, if treated early, can be cured. It is possible to get an STD again, so we recommend regular testing. At Pregnancy Options, we can refer you for no cost STD and STI screening with a medical director.
