Fingerprinting services are provided for adoptions, foster care, background checks for employment, identification, immigration, licensures, out of state firearm permits, etc. at a fee of $25. We also provide suspense prints and criminal prints

Fingerprinting services are available by appointment only and can be scheduled by contacting Beltrami County Court Security at 218-333-4087. Services are provided at the Judicial Center, 600 Minnesota Ave NW, Bemidji, MN 56601, between 8:30 am and 3:30 pm Monday-Friday.

NO PERSONAL CHECKS, MONEY ORDERS, DEBIT/CREDIT CARDS will be accepted.

What do you bring to your fingerprint appointment?

Your government issued ID (see below for valid ID’s accepted (valid Driver’s License is preferred).
$25 Cash- This is a cash only transaction requiring exact change. NO PERSONAL CHECKS, MONEY ORDERS, DEBIT/CREDIT CARDS will be accepted.
Paperwork- any paperwork that we need to sign for the background process, any paperwork received by the Sheriffs Office, probation agent, housing authority, etc. Bring it all with you.
Optional- an additional $5.00 cash is needed If you would like two additional fingerprint cards to be printed at the same time as your appointment (we provide 2 cards for the $25 fee).

Acceptable forms of identification include:

State Issued Driver's License or ID card (PREFFERED)
US Passport
US Active Duty/Retiree/Reservist Military ID Card
US Tribal ID Card
INS I-551 Resident Alien Card, INS I-688 Temporary Resident ID Card
INS I-6688 or I-766 Employment Authorization Card

To enter the courthouse for your fingerprinting service, these items are not allowed and will speed up the process of getting you through security faster!

Leave your cell phone, smart watch, and other electronics in your vehicle.
No weapons are allowed.
No alcohol, cannabis, or other controlled substances are allowed.
All bags will be scanned so if there are a lot of items in your bag, it will slow down your process of getting in.
Heavy jewelry, suspenders, or metal on clothing may result in removal of the items and/or further screening.
It will be a faster process if you simply bring in your ID, cash, and paperwork!
