Adult foster care homes serve adults ~~age~~aged 18 and over. These adults ~~need~~require ~~varied~~varying levels of supervision, assistance, ~~protection~~protection, or personal ~~care~~care, ~~and~~as well as room and board. Living in adult foster care enables individuals to obtain or maintain an optimum degree of independence and dignity in a supervised setting.

Beltrami County Health and Human Services licenses, ~~monitors~~monitors, and supports adult foster care families.

Adult Foster Care homes are licensed ~~according~~in toaccordance with Minnesota ~~laws:~~laws, specifically Chapter 9555.5050 and the Human Services Licensing Act.
