Care Counseling’s Story
CARE Counseling: A Journey of Community and Care
Founding Vision: Dr. Andrea Hutchinson and John Hutchinson, MBA, co-founded CARE Counseling in January 2014 with a mission to bridge the gap between community mental health centers and private practices. They aimed to provide a strong sense of community, rich culture, and solid support system while ensuring a solid income for clinicians.
Early Growth: Dr. Hutchinson, with her experience in both nonprofit and private practice, and John, with his consulting background, combined their expertise to create a sustainable business model. They renovated a Victorian home to open their first clinic, working tirelessly to establish a practice that valued both clients and providers.
Mission and Values: CARE Counseling’s mission is “Building a Community to Strengthen the Community.” This mission informs every decision, from training to internal and external community building. CARE focuses on supporting providers to ensure they can offer the best possible care to clients.
Billing and Fees
We are in network with most MN based insurance companies. We encourage people to call their insurance carrier to verify that their particular policy will cover services. Additionally, our billing team will verify insurance benefits before a client’s first visit assuming we have all the necessary information and enough time prior to the appointment. A direct pay rate, which is a reduced rate, is available for uninsured private pay clients. We have a sliding fee scale available based on family size and income. We will not denied access to services due to inability to pay. This scale is based on the federal poverty line and to see if you qualify, please reach out to our billing partner.
