The Beltrami County Public Works Department is responsible for the county highways, ditch systems, recycling and solid waste program.  It is made up of the following departments and functions:

County Ditches
Beltrami County manages the 32 public drainage systems in the county.

Highway Department
The Highway department has under its jurisdiction 747 miles of roads and 127 bridges.

Solid Waste Department
The Solid Waste department manages waste disposal and recycling in accordance with the County Solid Waste Management Plan, the County Ordinance, and state and federal rules and regulations.
