Cook County Public Health Fund/Grants
Cook County Public Health Fund
Beginning in 2018 the Cook County Board of Commissioners granted authority to the Public Health and Human Services Advisory Council to review and evaluate applications for county funding for those organizations that serve the Public Health and Human Services mission: “supporting the health, safety, and well-being of our community.”
To be considered for the Public Health Fund for the 2022 budget year, applicants were asked to align their requests with goals identified through the Cook County Community Health Assessment (CHA). These include:
- Access to specialty medical services
- Behavioral health
- Safe and stable housing
- Services for elders
- Services for families with young children
- Substance abuse
