Child Care while you Work out

The YMCA is proud to offer outstanding drop-in childcare to all of its members. Kid Zone is a supervised play area for young children whose parents or caregivers are utilizing the Y.

Although it is not a licensed facility and does not have a maximum enrollment, we strive to maintain a reasonable child-to-caregiver ratio.

Specific instructions or information regarding how they can best care for your child is important. Please let them know if there is anything they need to know about your child to help create a safe and enjoyable environment.

Due to the ever-changing number of children in care and the broad age range they represent, the Kid Zone environment is primarily one of free play. Children are separated in the Kid Zone room by age, allowing them to choose from age-appropriate and safe toys and activities.

Parents are responsible for bringing their children to any other classes within the Y.

The Kid Zone is available to all Y members, provided parents or caregivers are present in the building or on the YMCA grounds. Parents or caregivers are required to inform Kid Zone staff of their whereabouts during the time their children are in Kid Zone.

Visits to Kid Zone are not to exceed 2 hours.

Kid Zone Hours:
Monday-Friday: 7:45 am-1:00 pm (Staff will leave at 12:30 if there are no children)
Saturday: 7:45 am - 11:30 am (Staff will leave at 11:00 am if there are no children)
Monday-Thursday: 4:15 pm-7:00 pm (No Friday afternoons; staff will leave at 6:30 pm if there are no children)
